Inside Sales Representative - Velocity Team

We are seeking a dynamic Inside Sales Representative with a specialization in sales velocity motion to join our growing velocity team. . The Velocity Sales Representative will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by identifying & qualifying leads, nurturing relationships with prospects & accelerating time to value for new customers.  This role requires a highly motivated individual with a passion for technology, exceptional communication skills, & a proven track record of driving customer success.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales Velocity Optimization: Implement strategies to increase sales velocity, including streamlining the sales process, reducing friction points, & accelerating deal closure.
  • Understand lead flow from PLG to product trial & conversion
  • Establish relationships by skillfully engaging with technology practitioners across a variety of locations to identify opportunities to sell Sumo Logic
  • Work diligently to prospect, qualify & close business
  • Educate prospective clients on products & conduct effective product demos
  • Use a consultative approach to make warm calls & manage inbound leads for product evaluation requests, customers that have tried our products through our product led growth (PLG) motion, & partner with sales engineering (SE) to conduct technical & non-technical web product demo's
  • Maintain accurate customer records & activity & pipeline reports within Salesforce

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, computer science, or related field.
  • 2+ years of inside sales experience in a technology-driven environment, with a focus on accelerating sales velocity.
  • Knowledge/curiosity of complex software in the security & observability space 
  • Proven track record of meeting & exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced, quota-driven sales environment.
  • Strong understanding of sales methodologies & techniques, with the ability to effectively qualify leads & manage a high-volume pipeline.
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport & credibility with prospects.
  • Self-motivated & results-oriented, with a passion for driving revenue growth & exceeding expectations.
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) & sales engagement tools is a plus.

Sumo Logic Privacy Policy

The expected annual base salary range for this position is $83,900 - $96,600. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors which include (but arent limited to) such as role level, skills & competencies, qualifications, knowledge, location, & experience. In addition to base pay, certain roles are eligible to participate in our bonus or commission plans, as well as our benefits offerings, & equity awards.
