What youll do
DoubleVerify seeks a talented, resourceful & well-connected Business Director to be based in Melbourne to help expand business with leading Australian digital agencies & advertisers. This individuals responsibility will be to prospect & win new Advertisers, directly or through their agency partners. In addition to managing & growing existing partnerships in market. To achieve the primary focus & goal of driving revenue growth from new logo wins, & partnership growth the Business Director will think strategically about our clients brand goals & challenges, build & convey compelling value propositions & achieve an annual business target. We are looking for a strong, strategic salesperson who has a deep understanding of the advertising ecosystem & a passion for the latest emerging technologies. Very strong knowledge of digital environments (display, video, mobile), online marketing techniques & technologies, Social Platforms, (Platforms, DSPs, AdExchanges etc.), programmatic ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Achieve personal quarterly/annual revenue sales targets, as agreed with the Director
- Cultivate strong relationships with senior client & agencies stakeholders in order to develop client- specific value propositions, positioning DoubleVerify as a strategic/preferred partner in the region
- Evangelise DoubleVerifys value proposition, best practices & perspectives to our customers & our industry peers via events, webinars, & other direct client communications channels.
- Partner effectively with multiple internal stakeholders (Account Management, Integrated Solution Directions, global product teams) to support sales efforts
- Define the growth strategy for your portfolio with clear guidance on key client & agency stakeholders, client/opportunity prioritisation
- Ensure sales pipeline & activity is maintained & provide timely management / Salesforce reporting as required.
- Must demonstrate accountability/ownership through every stage of client business: prospecting, presenting, negotiating, must have a real knack for customer service.
- The ability to deepen partnerships based on value & a talent for consultative selling
- Able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to analyse & articulate information with product team
- Attend industry events & follow-up with leads generated in a timely fashion
Requirements
- You will have a clear & proven track record of winning new business & growing existing partnerships
- Experience managing or selling solutions in advertising technology, data or other solutions related to online advertising.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically to identify a brands key business objectives & challenges, & translate & build into compelling value propositions.
- Skilled at building a robust pipeline to fuel business growth.
- Team player mindset with proven experience in working collaboratively with internal teams to drive business growth & sales.
- Extensive contacts across Australia, with a focus of Melbourne Advertisers & Agencies & a strong knowledge of accounts, planning teams & planning cycles.
- Solid troubleshooting, analytical, & problem-solving abilities, along with an ability to collaborate cross-departmentally.
- Skilled at communicating effectively throughout the organization.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, with collaboration & teamwork at the core of your approach.
- Ability to craft a strong presentation & have excellent communications skills.
- Rigorous attention to detail, drive for excellence, & a positive can-do approach.
- A small amount of travel will be required, from meeting clients throughout Melbourne, as well as servicing existing clients in other states, primarily South Australia.
- Fluent in English
The successful candidates starting salary will be determined based on a number of non-discriminating factors, including qualifications for the role, level, skills, experience, & balancing internal equity relative to peers at DV.
