Role Description
The Corporate FP&A team is looking for an inquisitive and results-driven Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. Specializing in Free Cash Flow forecasting, you will play a pivotal role in providing accurate financial insights & strategic guidance that drive informed decision-making for this highly visible & important metric at Dropbox. As part of this role, you will help manage the forecast & results across all three financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, & Cash Flow), while maintaining & improving our detailed Free Cash Flow model. Additionally, this role will partner cross-functionally with other Finance teams to manage key line items on the P&L & ensure the consistency & accuracy of our financial projections across materials.
Responsibilities
- Free Cash Flow Forecasting: Utilize advanced financial modeling techniques to develop accurate & reliable forecasts of free cash flow, incorporating various factors such as revenue projections, operating expenses, capital expenditures, working capital changes, & tax considerations
- Variance Analysis: Monitor & analyze financial performance metrics regularly to ensure alignment with strategic objectives & drive overall business success. Conduct detailed analysis of actual financial results compared to forecasted figures, identifying key drivers of performance & opportunities for improvement
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Accounting, Treasury, Tax, & other departments to ensure alignment of financial plans & objectives. Foster strong relationships & facilitate effective communication across the organization
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate & enhance existing forecasting methodologies, models, & processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, & reliability. Stay abreast of industry best practices & emerging trends in free cash flow forecasting to drive innovation & optimization
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience on a Corporate FP&A team at a public company
- Prior experience owning or directly contributing to a consolidated Free Cash Flow model
- Undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline. Knowledge of GAAP & basic understanding of financial statements highly desirable
- Exceptional attention to detail & ability to work independently to deliver accurate, high-quality outputs with minimal oversight
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience focused on Free Cash Flow modeling a plus (ownership vs. contributor)
- Advanced user of financial planning tools & processes, preferably Oracle suite
- Accounting / Treasury exposure with FP&A experience
