The Riot Games Senior Manager, Physical Security & Safety is our Global Leader in strategizing & delivering a physical security & safety program for Rioters across the world. In this role, you will enable the business to thrive through development & implementation of industry-leading safety & security policies, procedures & programs which meet or exceed regulatory & compliance standards & reduce risks to Rioters, facilities & assets while promoting an innovative approach that puts players at the center of everything we do.

As the Senior Manager, Physical Security & Safety, you develop & scale best-in class safety, security & crisis management programs in a fast-paced & dynamic environment. You conceptualize, build & lead a diverse team with a focus on risk-based global programs & solutions to address evolving business needs. You will report to the Global Head of Workplace Experience.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the Global Physical Security & Safety to include the 24x7 Global Security Operations Center, on-site & off-site event security services, crisis management, workplace & travel safety, executive protection, & workplace investigations for all physical locations & remote workforce across the globe.

  • Lead key initiatives in global security & safety including but not limited to strategic planning, risk assessments, threat intelligence, & executive protection in support of our bold bets & brand
  • Establish & enforce security policies, standards, & protocols, ensuring compliance with local, state, & federal regulations
  • Oversee access control systems, surveillance systems & incident response protocols as well as managing emergency preparedness plans, including evacuation & disaster recovery procedures
  • Support/ perform strategic analysis & present recommendations for safety & security programs that influence decision makers to proactively & flexibly support team growth
  • Collaborate with internal & external stakeholders to proactively prevent adverse incidents, promote a culture of safety, & manage critical situations in coordination with other departments throughout the business (e.g., HR, IT, & Legal) to address multidisciplinary security needs. Oversee investigations and, where necessary, lead opportunities for process improvement cross functionally
  • Develop & present regular reports on security performance, incident trends & mitigation strategies. Keep abreast of current federal & local laws/regulations, threats, & concerns, consistently documenting & relaying important information in an effective manner when necessary
  • Develop operating procedures, systems & processes that support dissemination of critical information, track accountabilities, & in support of operational efficiencies
  • Support your team in their growth & performance as well as performance manage contractual relationships with outsourced security personnel
  • Foster a culture of security awareness across the organization
  • Develop & manage an annual budget for security guard as well as operations center function & vendor contracts, & other tasks related to the global safety & security team

Required Qualifications: 

  • 8-10+ years corporate physical security & safety experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Experience with risk management, emergency response, incident investigations, security operation command center functions as well as executive protection
  • Familiarity with systems & tools that promote a safe & secure environment (threat monitoring & intelligence, CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, etc)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets & vendor contracts, including measuring performance & negotiating scopes of services
  • Excellent communication, leadership, & interpersonal skills able to  convey issues & recommendations to an executive audience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to Criminal Justice, Security Management, Safety or equivalent
  • CPP or PSP certification
  • Masters degree or MBA is a plus
