Were seeking a Conference & Events Manager to join our Operations team. The Conference & Events Manager will report directly to the Venue Manager.

Please note: The candidate must currently reside in the UK & be able to work in the UK without sponsorship.

What Youll Do: 

The Conference & Events Manager is responsible for ensuring the success of all programs while maintaining a profitable operation & high-quality products & service levels. The Conference & Events Manager is expected to share ideas to promote business; reduce employee turnover; maintain revenue & payroll budgets; & meet budgeted productivity while keeping quality consistently high.

  • Supervise & set up the culinary service quickly & efficiently for participants & ensure that it follows The Program Execution Order
  • Supervise the service team & support staff including setup, utilities, maintenance, & security
  • Coordinate culinary service between the culinary team & service team
  • Keep culinary informed of accurate counts
  • Review menu/service with production & culinary teams
  • Enforce all rules & regulations & ability to carry out all safety & emergency programs
  • Monitor all beverage consumption
  • Follow all health & safety regulations & ensure sanitation & cleanliness of service areas

What We Look For:

  • Minimum of 2 or more years of progressive experience in a conference center or a related field
  • Previous supervisory responsibility preferred
  • Strong knowledge of service standards, & different service types
  • Knowledge of food & beverage preparation techniques, health department rules & regulations, liquor laws & regulations
  • Be involved in and/or conduct ongoing training of service specialists to maintain standards of service
  • Manage opening and/or closing inspection duties
  • Maintain service cleanliness in front & back of the site
  • Ensure positive overall client satisfaction
  • Ability to interact with guests and/or associates in a courteous, empathetic, & discreet manner
  • Adhere to basic hygiene procedures & grooming standards
  • Flexible & long hours sometimes required
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, & place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
  • Reach overhead & below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, & stooping. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
