What were looking for

Under the supervision of the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Specialist performs a variety of tasks that relate to payroll. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing & filing payroll related forms, informing employees of tax law changes, & maintaining payroll records.

What youll do

This integral position will provide our internal employees with the support they need to fully understand payroll. Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Process Payroll for multiple Vacasa entities
  • Handle garnishment requests
  • Assist with W2s
  • Mail paychecks & handle bank deposits
  • Complete employment verifications
  • Manage retro payments & time system updates
  • Serve as a liaison between managers & employees on paycheck issues
  • Provide exemplary customer service to employees by answering payroll questions, & problem-solving issues that arise with tax changes
  • Assist with monthly payroll reconciliations
  • Enter Payroll Deductions
  • Provide guidance to managers around time tracking assistance
  • Provide support to our Finance & Human Resources teams
  • Other general administrative tasks

Skills youll need

  • 2-3 years of multi-state payroll processing experience
  • Strong math skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Highly detail oriented
  • Accurate typing & data entry skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good interpersonal & communication skills
  • Ability to multitask & meet multiple deadlines
  • Ability to perform & stay focused during high-pressure periods
  • Human Resource or Accounting experience is a plus
