What Youll Do:
The Director, Production Operations will oversee production planning, manage physical production processes, & lead the Production Operations team. This role will work alongside other department leads to ensure overall production workflows are streamlined, integrated, & aligned, & metrics are properly tracked. Responsibilities include:
- Establish & iterate production strategies on multiple formats, genres, & budget levels
- Work along-side Design, Animation, Post Production, & Bidding teams to ensure that all of ATTN:s production output runs smoothly. Lead, identify, track, & report on areas for hiring efficiencies
- Oversee & evolve the documentation & reporting strategy, ensures each department tracks & shares results.
- Collaborate with resource manager to ensure proper resourcing of above the line & below the line staff. Work closely with production, sales, creative, & accounts teams to ensure production deliverables are defined & delivered
- Oversee Physical Production's day-to-day business operations. Help drive communication, consistency, collaboration, & alignment across departments
- Ensure high level of quality control, cultural integrity, & authenticity throughout creative & production process
- Serves as the liaison for production cross-departmental meetings, driving agenda & notes related to process improvements & growth Promote team integration & cross-functional communication across the company
- Lead & manage a team providing coaching, performance management, & development
- Advise on the planning of resources with other departments ensuring projects are staffed & teams keep to an optimal capacity; drive support & adherence to production processes across Accounts, Sales, Creative, & Agency
- Identify production challenges before they become issues, provide strategic guidance, & mediate conflicts
- Streamline production operations, evaluate policies & procedures, & ensure the company understands what they are
- Responsible for the implementation & execution of strategy that includes change management, sponsorship & buy-in & advocacy efforts to get business results
Who You Are:
- 8+ years of experience in Physical and/or Post Production management at a major media company, network or studio
- A passion for developing nimble systems & tools to help optimize production processes & workflows & a strong track record of improving efficiency
- Strong knowledge in all aspects of physical production, from pre-production through delivery
- Deep experience with production budgets, crew rates, union rates/rules, tax incentives, production locations, post facilities, & market trends
- Strong knowledge of business, finance, & analytics, with some experience in resource management & planning
- Very experienced in troubleshooting technical & extraordinary production logistics
- Strong ability to professionally evaluate & resolve difficult or complex issues
- Robust experience with legal & licensing procedures & guidelines
- Experience with insurance workflow, implementing safety protocol, & injury prevention
- Strong ability to professionally provide, receive, & implement positive & essential feedback
- Must have exceptional people & project leadership skills
- Strong ability to influence teams, even in situations when they dont report to you
- Outstanding communication (verbal & written) & strong presentation skills
- Extremely organized & detail-oriented while working quickly, sometimes under pressure
- Mastery in Movie Magic Budgeting, Scheduling, Google Docs, Word & Excel
