The Data Platform team is a key component of Visa's Technology organization that provides an enriched & valuable ecosystem of data platform & data services that drive innovation for our partners & clients, within Visa & globally. Data is the most valuable asset in Visa. The Data Platform Department is dedicated to develop advanced technology (e.g. Cloud, Machine Learning & Big Data), systems & services to make data secure, high quality, rich, fast, & easy to use, therefore enabling Visa the ability to leverage its data asset in an effective & timely manner to maximize technology/business development & differentiate Visa from others in the payment industry. As a front end engineer at VISA on the data team, you will be responsible for helping build our data platform that aids various payments technologies. You will work on building visualization for data products that collect, manage & serve data across the company & predict what is going & what should not happen.
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 7-10 years of work experience & a Bachelor's Degree or
- 6 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or
- 3 years of experience with a PhD.
- You have solid understanding of MVC & ability to write clean, concise & maintainable code
- Strong experience in building scalable web applications using AngularJS, JQuery, Bootstrap, Backbone, Knockout, Grunt, Karma, Protractor, Jasmine, SASS, MomentJS, Bower, D3, SVG, React, test automation, responsive design
- Experiencein AJAX techniques, integrating with RESTful APIs
- Strong experience developing web user interface for different browsers
- Experience building high-volume production systems or commercial shrink-wrap software
- Experience with agile methodologies
Work Hours This position requires the incumbent to be available during core business hours.
Travel Requirements This position requires the incumbent to travel for work 5% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit & stand at a desk, communicate in person & by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones & computers, & reach with hands & arms.
