Warby Parker is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to assist the Accounting team in managing their corporate & consolidations reporting. The Accounting Manager will have responsibility over operational expenses & accrual management as well owning close tasks, preparation of financial statements, supporting financial audits, & managing a team of Senior & Staff Accountants. Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated & ambitious individual with an eye for detail, experience working in a fast paced environment, & previous management experience. Sound a lot like you?  What youll do:

  • Lead all aspects of our operational expense accounting, including accruals, prepaid expense management & payroll allocations.
  • Responsible for intercompany calculations & transfer pricing management.
  • Managed payroll, tax & long/short term balance sheet reconciliations
  • Manage & review financial statement reporting during the month-end close. This includes creation of Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement & Flux analysis.
  • Responsible for close checklist management & consolidations review.
  • Act as liaison between the Finance department & marketing, payroll, legal & FP&A.
  • Strategically implement control procedures & process efficiencies to streamline reporting data & financial accuracy.
  • Assist with quarterly & annual financial audits.
  • Lead, motivate & manage a team of senior & staff accountants.

 Who you are:

  • Backed by 5+ years of relevant accounting experience 
  • Experience managing team members
  • The proud owner of a Bachelor of Science in accounting or finance
  • A total Excel expert (keyboard shortcuts are your love language)
  • Super serious about your work (without taking yourself too seriously)
  • A highly collaborative & communicative team player & self-starter willing to roll up your sleeves & get the job done
  • Positive, kind, & excited by a challenge
  • Not on the Office of Inspector Generals List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE)
