Job Description: The Food Safety & Quality Lead is responsible for the success & guidance of the Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) team associates. You will coordinate team schedules, activities, & training, & provide coaching to ensure maximum productivity. Working closely with the team, you will cover tasks as needed & follow direction from the FSQ leadership team. Your core objective is to uphold HelloFresh food safety & quality standards, ensuring every meal kit is food-safe & excellent quality.
Shift: Sunday to Wednesday - 6:45pm to 5:15am
You Will
- Team Leadership: Instruct, coach, & provide feedback to FSQ employees.
- Compliance & Safety: Enforce & follow all safety, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), & SQF (Safe Quality Food) policies. Empower associates to escalate non-conformances or violations.
- Quality Verification: Conduct quality verification activities in the warehouse, staging, & production line setups (kitting & assembly).
- Issue Resolution: Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Warehouse, Operations) to resolve non-conformances. Effectively escalate food safety risks or quality issues & support corrective actions, including shutting down a production line for major errors.
- Inspections & Audits: Oversee & complete food safety training, audits, & documentation, including temperature checks, expiration date verification, & sanitation swabs. Monitor & ensure team completion of inbound quality inspections on ingredients & continuous quality checks through all stages of the process. Monitor kitting & assembly audits.
- Equipment: Maintain an active Forklift Operator license.

Qualifications...
- High school diploma or GED.
- One year of related experience is preferred.
- Must be a trained & certified Forklift Operator with an active license.
- Must be able to read, write, & speak English.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions) & computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Sheets).
- Must be at least 18 years old & able to work the entire scheduled shift.
Work Environment & Physical Demands...
- Manufacturing & assembly environment with regular exposure to cool/cold temperatures (10 - 40).
- Frequently exposed to fumes, moving mechanical parts, & vibration; noise levels can be loud.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, reach, & lift for a minimum of 10 to 12 hours.
- Must regularly lift up to 25 pounds & occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
- This is a non-supervisory role with no travel expected.
