About the job

This position is needed to manage the day to day workplace operations at our San Francisco office Headquarters

Twilio is looking for a leader with a demonstrated track record of customer service, people management, & operational efficiency.  This individual will be someone who likes ambiguity, is comfortable operating in a dynamic environment & enjoys getting into the details to drive improvements every single day.  The Workplace Operations Manager is central to Twilios continued growth, & will work closely with senior leadership & all teams to manage & improve the workplace environment. 

Responsibilities

As Workplace Operations Manager, you will:

  • Manage the quality of service levels, directing & coordinating workplace operations including, food service, reception, maintenance, mail & shipping, janitorial, & event set-up
  • Oversee & develop the Workplace Operations Coordinator 
  • Responsible for all workplace & building operations, including maintenance & vendor management 
  • Work with Property Management team to ensure building operations support our employee & office needs 
  • Oversee audits to ensure the workspace is properly maintained & meets company & departmental standards, as well as all safety & sustainability guidelines
  • Create Purchase Orders & track spend as well as identifying efficiencies & cost savings opportunities 
  • Lead onsite event planning & logistics for all internal events & gatherings in partnership with cross functional support teams. 
  • Ability to quickly respond to operational & emergency situations, & provide technical guidance & direction during real-time situation/problem management. Must be able to communicate & act in a consulting capacity with projects & new designs.
  • Effectively communicate with peers, key stakeholders & all business partners
  • Manage tickets ( work requests ) ensuring timely responses by the team & high level of customer service

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years experience in Workplace Operations/ Employee Experience or equivalent. Proven experience as a Workplace Operations Manager or similar role, with demonstrated project & program management expertise
  • 5+ years of People Management experience. The ability to manage & coach a team is important in this role.
  • Previous event management experience for both large-scale & small-scale gatherings.
  • Project management self-directed experience, with excellent problem-solving skills & the ability to execute tasks in an efficient manner
  • Excellent leadership, communication & interpersonal skills
  • Proven planning organizational & relational skills with a background in office administration.
  • Exceptional computer skills & must have experience with (Google Docs/SpaceiQ/ServiceNow/Oracle) 

Desired:

  • CFM & or FMP credential preferred but not required

Location

This role will be based in our San Francisco Headquarters office at 101 Spear Street. 

Relocation costs will not be offered for this position

Travel

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:

  • Based in the San Francisco Bay area, California: $132,160.00 to $165,200.00
  • This role may be eligible to participate in Twilios equity plan & corporate bonus plan. All roles are eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.

The successful candidates starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, & geographic location within the state.
