About the Role

Stitch Fix is seeking a Manager, People Analytics who brings a mix of subject matter expertise in data analysis, strategic thinking, & project management. This role will play an important part in driving strategic initiatives that sit across People & Culture (P&C) teams including Recruiting, Learning & Development, Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, & Business Partners. The Manager, People Analytics will establish & mature capabilities to harness insights using people data & the actions informed by those insights to improve key metrics for the business. 

This role can either be based in our San Francisco HQ or remote (US) & will report directly to the Director, People Strategy & Operations. 

You're excited about this opportunity because you will

  • Work closely with the Director, People Strategy & Operations to develop & implement a multi-year People Analytics strategy (including tools & capabilities) & roadmap that increases the use of data within P&C & with our business leaders to drive our organizational, cultural & business objectives
  • Oversee, enhance, & design various self-service reporting solutions & analytical tools that accessibly enable stakeholders across the company to be effective & self-sufficient in applying data to their roles 
  • Utilize advanced survey methodologies & sentiment analysis to gauge & improve employee engagement
  • Oversee management of reporting & analyses on key people metrics, identifying key trends behind people data in partnership with P&C leaders 
  • Deliver deep insights into various business-critical analytics projects (e.g., flight risk modeling, attrition scenario modeling)
  • Collaborate with key P&C team stakeholders to understand their challenges, frame opportunities, & design analytics or research solutions to address their needs
  • Partner with the source system owners & relevant IT, legal, & business leaders to develop & implement data governance across our systems

Were excited about you because

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience in a field that emphasizes analyzing, displaying, or reporting on data (e.g., Business, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Organizational Psychology), MBA/MA/MS preferred
  • 4+ years business experience in HR analytics, data analytics & visualization, business intelligence, or management, strategy or analytical consulting
  • 2+ years of proven ability to use data, analytics, & business knowledge to solve complex business problems building self-service dashboards with Business Intelligence tools or using quantitative & qualitative analytical strategies to generate insights, answer questions, & inform solutions
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills & effective presentation skills & comfort with both executive-ready summaries & presentations (Google Slides, Microsoft Powerpoint, etc)
  • Advanced proficiency with Google Sheets & hands on experience with one or more BI platforms / visualization tools desired
  • Experience managing & analyzing data using tools such as SQL, R, or Python & experience troubleshooting others' analyses & code a plus
  • Experience with basic inferential statistics & research methods
  • Experience building & debugging data pipelines
  • You have experience presenting to & working with senior leadership. Experience partnering with leadership to build analytics for a companys Board is highly desired
  • You translate ambiguous questions into structured hypotheses, identifying key drivers & creating compelling narratives & insights 
  • You show curiosity about people & love learning from different backgrounds, working styles, & perspectives & adapting your own approach to be successful
  • You question the status quo & others playbooks, as you look for opportunities to innovate & break convention where you think we can do better

Compensation & Benefits

Our anticipated compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets, & the range below indicates the low end of the lowest-compensated market to the high end of the highest-compensated market. This position is eligible for new hire & ongoing grants of restricted stock units depending on employee & company performance.
