The Forklift & reach Truck Operator (Inventory department) receives the product for the days production & transports materials safely & efficiently to the appropriate areas of the facility. The Forklift & reach Truck operator also picks products from inventory as needed, makes adjustments on the computer, & adheres to all safety protocols. We have a mix of both stand up & sit down equipment. 

Forklift & Reach Truck Operator Responsibilities:

• Operate electric pallet jacks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas in a safe & timely manner.
• Loading, unloading, shipping, & receiving warehouse items.
• Transporting materials to different locations within the facility.
• Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency.
• Securing loads to the machine before transportation.
• Inspecting for damages to vehicles.
• Operating & managing technical equipment.
• Picking & wrapping orders for shipment.
• Identifying workplace safety hazards.
• Adhering to safety management standards.
• Operate WMS inventory system.
• Adhering to production schedules.
• Enforce & follow all safety, GMP & SQF policies/procedures.

Forklift & Reach Truck Operator Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED 
• Must have forklift experience (stand-up double reach preferred)
• Previous High Reach & Stand up Forklift experience required
• Excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Proficiency in operating technical machinery & RF scanners.
• Good physical condition.
• Mathematical aptitude.
• Good organizational skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Must be comfortable working in a cold/freezer environment
• Good written & verbal communication. Being bilingual is always a plus!
