About the Role:
The Solutions Architect team at SecurityScorecard acts as a trusted cybersecurity advisor & strategic partner to both our clients & internal teams. We offer deep knowledge of the market & our solutions, driven by intellectual curiosity, a strong motivation to deliver customer value, & a genuine passion for cybersecurity.
We are looking for an experienced & dynamic Sales Engineer to collaborate with our U.S. sales teams. This role involves technical engagement during the pre-sales phase with clients, including platform demonstrations, answering technical & business questions, & advising on industry best practices as clients evaluate SecurityScorecard.
The ideal candidate will have solid experience in areas such as cybersecurity, information security, third-party risk management (TPRM/VRM), supply chain risk, technology risk, IT compliance, organizational resilience, privacy, & more.
Success in this role requires strong technical & cybersecurity expertise, with the ability to develop a deep understanding of SecurityScorecards architecture & services. A consultative approach is essential, with a focus on understanding the clients business needs. Strategic communication skills are critical to participate in both technical & business conversations with engineers & senior decision-makerstranslating client needs into technical requirements & clearly demonstrating the value of our solutions throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with sales teams to understand customer technical requirements, design tailored solutions, & support revenue growth & customer success
- Lead technical pre-sales efforts by delivering platform demos, managing Proof of Value (PoV) engagements, & representing SecurityScorecard at industry events & executive roundtables
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product & Engineering to provide field feedback & help shape the product roadmap
- Capture & report success metrics from PoVs
- Apply MEDDIC methodology to support effective sales cycles
- Develop subject matter expertise in supply chain cybersecurity
- Foster collaboration across diverse work styles & personalities
- Build strong internal relationships with teams such as Marketing, Support, & Customer Success
- Act as a strong internal advocate for prospective customers
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Fluency in English, Portuguese, & Spanish is required
- 1+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role (e.g., Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales, or Technical Account Manager) with a background in cybersecurity, OR possession of cybersecurity-related certifications.
- Excellent communication skills with both technical & business audiences
- Experience in pre-sales, consulting, or other customer-facing technical roles (SaaS preferred)
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
- Industry-recognized certifications (e.g., CEH, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CISA, GCIH, etc.) are a plus
- Familiarity with risk & compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, SIG) is a plus
- Comfortable working the relevant hours to support clients in Brazil & Iberia

The estimated total compensation range for this position is $75,000 - $105,000 (base plus bonus). Actual compensation for the position is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to affordability, skills, qualifications & experience, & may vary from the range. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible for annual performance-based incentive compensation awards & equity, among other company benefits.
