Job summary:

In this role they will model & report on data generated by INTURN's platform & internal applications. Help INTURN manage the brokerage of millions of dollars of merchandise & complexities of a rapidly growing business. Collaborate with our world-class design team & engineers. They know SQL & data modeling like the back of your hand. They are a quick & willing to learn new technologies & have the examples to prove your aptitude. They are not tool-centric; They determine what technology works best for the problem at hand & apply it accordingly. Extract, transform, & load data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL/Python. Own the design, development, & maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analysis, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions. Recognize & adopt best practices in reporting & analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, & documentation. Continually improve ongoing reporting & analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service support for Business Users.

Key Qualifications

  • 3+ years of work experience writing advanced SQL, data modeling, data mining (SQL, ETL, data warehousing) & using databases in a business environment with complex datasets
  • Very strong experience with Looker or similar BI
  • Experience building complex data models & automating data extraction from multiple sources
  • Ability to create dashboards & reports in an actionable way to drive business change
  • Experience working with a wide range of predictive & decision models & data mining techniques using Python or R
  • Experience with building Data Warehouses in Oracle, Redshift or similar database
  • Passion & enthusiasm for analyzing large data sets & making actionable recommendations
  • Proven ability to identify relationships within large, not obviously related data sets
  • Willingness to learn & try new technologies
  • Computer Science or related degree is preferred


  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Bayesian methods, collaborative filtering, decision trees, clustering
  • Previous start up experience


  • BA/BS is required
  • Advanced degree is a plus
