The PITCH.

The Residency Program is a training program which starts in June 2024 with a potential to go full-time immediately following the residency. 

As a Post Creative Strategist (PCS) Resident you will get a chance to work on live projects or campaigns while being trained & mentored in all things strategy!

Strategy at VaynerMedia provides a crucial perspective on the business dynamics. We are a human centric, culture obsessed discipline where we dive deep into audience insights, media trends, cultural shifts, & tech innovations that inform our strategic recommendations. Our team is collectively redefining & modernizing the way our clients harness consumer & cultural intelligence, develop brand strategy & plan for attention.

Heres some of the work you could get involved with

  • Ongoing monitoring of brand social channels & relevant online conversations looking for highest impact opportunities to engage (including proactive identification of conversations & communities strategically & creatively relevant for the brand)
  • Continuous active listening on brands currently tracking every follower interaction: comments, responses, DMs
  • Researching & analyzing brand & cultural trends & their relevance to our clients & creative campaigns 
  • Willing to go beyond basic tracking to analyzing & drawing hypothesis, including providing a daily digest of observations + recommendations, to produce creative briefs
  • Use third party tools to manage brands pages.
  • Read every comment across all social posts, & respond to consumers across these channels, maintaining a consistent brand voice across these conversations, & using the opportunity to engage followers, probe further insights, or advance brand goal
  • Follow proper escalation systems, as needed, for followers with negative feedback.
  • Seek opportunities to insert the brand in social conversation, whether around relevant trending topics/news or engaging with social influencers/celebrities/other brands

We value Personality, Ambition, Potential & Experience, however from our experience, we believe the following qualities will be highly successful in this role:

  • A keen interest in brands, marketing & social media.
  • Bonus points if you consider yourself to be an expert in popular culture
  • Consider oneself a Social Media know it all & have experience working across a variety of social platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.
  • Can combine creativity & analytics with the ability to convert into a story
  • Innate curiosity & ability to adapt + be flexible, whether with new tools, platforms, processes, etc. 
  • Any experience using the following social listening tools is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Any experience putting together presentations in written form using google slides
  • Strong writing & verbal skills.
