YOUR ROLE:
The QA analyst carries out quality assurance efforts for a variety of marketing deliverables, including emails, websites, landing pages & display ads. In particular, RAPP develops a large volume of marketing emails for our clients.
This person works closely with QA team members, developers, project managers & other stakeholders to develop & execute thorough testing approaches to ensure digital deliverables render & function correctly across the most prominent desktop & mobile platforms. This person may also proofread creative outputs.
Produces great work in a fast-paced environment, often with short turnaround times & helps other QA team members do the same. Thrives within a collaborative team but is also able to handle tasks on his/her own. Clear & thorough written & verbal communication is paramount.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute QA solutions for a variety of types of projects, utilizing general best practices & client-specific expertise.
- Test digital projects across multiple browsers, operating systems, email clients & mobile devices to ensure proper rendering, functionality & adherence to project specs, including accessibility compliance.
- Write test plans & test cases, working with project stakeholders to ensure the integrity of the testing approach.
- Review & provide feedback on digital project reference materials, including UX/wireframes, URL matrices & creative documents. If needed, proofread & edit creative outputs (layouts, copy decks, etc.) for grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity, accuracy, & adherence to brand & other style guidelines.
- Clearly & concisely document change requests in a bug-tracking system (such as Workfront) and/or a live spreadsheet. Prioritize change requests based on project needs.
- Mitigate project risk through discussion with developers & other stakeholders.
- Work on multiple projects & tasks as requested by project management. Proactively support needs to complete & release client deliverables.
- Complete daily statuses to keep the project team updated on progress.
Success CriterIa:
- Implementation & execution of tests & other QA measures that lead to error-free deliverables.
- Track record of effective QA solutions & proactive thinking that lead to better work, greater efficiency & increased client satisfaction.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, information technology, English, journalism, computer science, communications or related field.
- 2+ years of QA testing experience at a marketing agency or other relevant business.
- Experience testing marketing emails for content, functionality & rendering a plus.
- Proofreading/copy editing experience a plus.
- Experience gathering & analyzing business requirements.
- Proficiency in key hardware & software, including iOS & Android mobile & tablet devices, Mac & Windows desktop platforms, MS Office, Adobe Campaign Classic, Adobe Journey Optimizer, Workfront & content management systems.
- Expertise with reviewing HTML & inline CSS code; web dev experience a plus.
- Experience with scripting/automation (e.g., Selenium) a plus.
- Excellent listening, oral & written communication skills.
- Analytical mindset, time-management & problem-solving skills, & the ability to see both the big picture & details of a project.

This range is specific to Detroit & multiple factors are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: skill set, experience & training, certifications; etc. This is an exempt position.
