The role

The (Senior) Category Manager Logistics will be responsible for overseeing strategic sourcing & contracting in HelloFresh International for First Mile, Middle Mile & Last Mile which include collaboration with business to optimize commercials e.g. for inhouse logistics, 3PW (warehouse), linehaul, & carriers. The goal is to collaborate seamlessly with stakeholders & major suppliers in all international markets (focus Europe) & help them to navigate the procurement landscape. In addition, the role will be supporting initiatives targeted to increase the maturity level of Indirect Procurements processes & systems landscape. As part of the Facilities & Logistics  Procurement team the position will report to the respective cluster lead based in Berlin.

What youll do

• Conduct detailed spend analysis & benchmarking, evaluate market & competitive conditions, & use as a basis to create data based category strategies & sourcing activities
• Align & execute a sourcing roadmap with key stakeholders in the HQ & the local markets to deliver P&L savings & overall procurement value
• Develop & optimize the supplier portfolio across Hello Freshs international markets
• Cultivate & manage close (senior level) relationships with business partners within Operations to support their objectives & the company growth agenda
• Act as the central point of contact for any Logistics related procurement questions
• Design & maintain category reporting to senior executives & internal stakeholders
• Lead or participate in the implementation of best-in-class procurement processes & tools

What youll bring

• Minimum 5 years in Logistics procurement
• Deep knowledge of strategic sourcing methodology, category management, & supplier management
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, & enjoy working independently
• Experience in spend & market analyses as well as benchmarking
• Strong written & verbal communication skills, including preparing & delivering presentations & reports
• Demonstrated change management & project management skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to build trust & credibility with business partners
• Strategic thinker yet focused on execution
• Able to work in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment
• Readiness to frequently travel nationally/abroad to our sites
• Fluent business English
