Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Legal, APAC based in Singapore, you will play a crucial role in supporting our legal operations across the Asia-Pacific region. You will be involved in a wide range of legal matters, including commercial & operational contracts, advertising, privacy, technology & compliance issues. This role requires a proactive, solution-oriented individual who can effectively manage multiple tasks across different timezones in a fast-paced environment. 

• Draft, negotiate, & review a broad range of commercial agreements including master services agreements, license agreements, vendor agreements, partnership agreements & data processing agreements. 
• Provide legal advice & support to cross-functional stakeholders on legal issues, compliance matters & applicable legal & privacy terms & negotiation strategies.
• Assist in the development & implementation of our legal processes, policies, templates, & practices, & related training, including but not limited to anti-corruption, data privacy, & intellectual property.
• Collaborate with & support the business teams by providing clear, practical legal guidance on legal risks, business strategies, & other matters. 
• Manage & liaise with external counsel across the APAC region as needed to ensure comprehensive legal coverage & support for Teads operations.  
• Keep abreast of relevant laws & regulations affecting the industry in the APAC region, & provide timely updates & training to internal teams.

About You

Basic Qualifications

• LLB or JD qualifications from a reputable Singapore, Malaysia, Australian or UK university, & admitted to the bar in at least one legal jurisdiction.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant in-house legal & privacy experience at a regional or global technology company, particularly in commercial & technology transactions. Previous or current in-house experience in one or more of the following industries is required: software, PaaS, SaaS, ICT or data-related services.
• Familiarity with application of data privacy regulations to technology-related transactions in Asia Pacific.
• Fluent in English, both written & spoken

Preferred Qualifications

• In-house experience in the media & advertising industry is ideal. 
• Knowledge & experience in some or all of the following: advertising regulations, information technology, corporate & finance law, corporate governance & compliance and/or intellectual property.
• Excellent communication, influencing & negotiation skills, with the ability to drill into complex legal issues & make value-adding recommendations to senior management.
• Adaptable, & a master at prioritizing & time management.
• Natural collaborator & a team player.
• Proficiency in another language (written & spoken) within Asia Pacific.
