Role Description

As a Product Manager in the Growth organization, you will lead your technical cross-functional team (engineering, design, data science, research) to inflect Dropbox growth during a pivotal time as the company expands beyond its $2B core sync & share business into faster growing digital organization & collaboration products. 

You will own high visibility initiatives that drive companys long-term strategy & roadmap for new growth directions that introduce Dropbox to small businesses, creators, & consumers. You will execute projects with engineers, designers and analysts in a fast-paced environment. The role requires a mix of platform thinking, analytical considerations, relentless execution, & well-honed customer judgment. You will be responsible for delivering best in class experiences to retain loyal paying subscribers, resolving both voluntary & involuntary churn challenges by delivering solutions to maintain user satisfaction in our paid products. 

Responsibilities

  • You will lead a range of Growth initiatives & drive them to successful outcomes for our business & our customers, by identifying & evaluating new opportunities & then experimenting, building, launching, & optimizing them. 
  • Lead & guide product direction for a cross-functional team of engineering, design, analytics, marketers, & platform partners. 
  • Engage & cultivate relationships with product & platform partners to influence shared cross-team directions & manage risks or trade-offs. Communicate clearly & crisply with leadership stakeholders & drive alignment across multiple teams & organizations through formal operational processes & in scrappy ways.
  • Become an authority on your Growth area. Youll lead your team to identify customer needs & business opportunities through a combination of user research, collecting feedback from cross-functional teammates, diving into data, & competitive analysis. You will be accountable for web churn metrics for the Core Dropbox product.
  • Utilize data-driven decision-making to continuously iterate on strategies & tactics aimed at reducing customer churn. Youll own experiments end-to-end, including defining product specs, driving cross-functional execution, making thoughtful product decisions along the way, & sharing insights & results throughout the company.

Requirements

  • 4+ years experience as a Product Manager, with experience in Growth
  • A deep understanding & empathy for consumer & business users you love building products that make our customers feel joy, delight & trust
  • Youre a strong communicator, with an ability to influence with cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Ability to analyze & use quantitative & qualitative data to inform decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to influence company level strategy & work with business leaders to execute on the transformation
  • Build alignment & listen well, but can also drive hard decisions, framing the different options & tradeoffs.
  • Proven ability to lead teams & work cross-functionally in a highly collaborative environment
  • Excitement about building product experiences that create measurable business value

Through our assessment process, we will identify your level that ties to compensation based on your experience & technical expertise along with the scope of the role. 

Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropboxs total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). 

If you are assessed at the IC3 level, below are the current Salary/OTE ranges (Subject to change):
z19,900 - z23,400 - z26,900 per month  

If you are assessed at the IC4 level, below are the current Salary/OTE ranges (Subject to change):
z24,400 - z28,800 - z33,100 per month

Dropbox applies increased tax deductible costs (50%) to remuneration earned by certain qualifying employees (to the extent an employee will be involved in the creation of the software as an author) for the transfer of copyrights, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Personal Income Tax Act.
