To support our Platform Engineering & DevOps Team, we are looking for a new:

Senior DevOps Engineer (f/m/d)

(Hybrid in Berlin or remote in Germany/ Full-time/ Permanent Contract)

Your Tasks: 

• Deploy, update, & optimize, applications to cloud & on-premise hosted environments 
• Maintain large Elastic Search clusters ingesting multiple terabytes of data per day
• Assess the health of systems & infrastructure to advocate for upgrades, maintenance, & changes.
• Educate peers & development teams on best practices for developing & sustaining large data sets in ElasticSearch.
• Ensure quality, availability, reliability, & performance of massive scale data processing SaaS environment
• Build automations, dashboards, & best-in-class observability for a large distributed system in varied hosting environments. 
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the Engineering organization 
• Assist the Information Security team on security initiatives, provide auditable workflows for change management, & monitor for security issues & incidents.

Your Profile:

• Completed studies in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field or equivalent professional experience
• 5+ years of experience working in DevOps or SRE (AWS Certifications are a plus) in modern Cloud Environments & managed hosting environments (on-premise as well)
• Several years of professional experience with administering, scaling, & supporting ElasticSearch & similar data clusters
• Expertise & seasoned competence with Cloud native & physical Infrastructure: CI/CD & SRE tooling & technologies including Kubernetes & Terraform
• Prior experience working with Ansible & preferably RabbitMQ
• Analytical, proactive, structural personality combined with a solution- & goal-oriented hands-on personality, who is comfortable working across stacks in an organization without silos & taking ownership of end-to-end problem-solving.
• Professional verbal & written communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly articulate your work to both technical & non-technical stakeholders
