THE ROLE: Merchandise Assistant

We are looking for candidates who want to kick start their merchandising careers with the goal of becoming a Buyer!

As a Merchandise Assistant, you will work with our buying teams to produce & procure the most fashionable & desirable merchandise for Rue La La & Gilt. In this role, you will be provided with exposure to many aspects of Buying, including purchase order processing, retail math, basic trend analysis.

What Youll Do:

• Generate & track purchase orders for all Rue La La & Gilt boutiques
• Ensure timely delivery of merchandise through communication with Buyer, merchant teams, & external vendors
• Build product assortments with your buyer & influence the styles you see on Rue La La & Gilt
• Curate boutiques based on current trends & inventory levels to achieve KPIs (key performance indicators)
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to ensure our sites continue to surprise & delight our member every day

• Passionate about Merchandising, e-commerce, & all things fashion!
• 0-1 years experience, internships & co-ops are welcome
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel); comfortable with tools in an online environment
• An effective communicator who loves to collaborate with others & is detail oriented
• Ability to adapt well to changes in direction & priorities in a fast paced & deadline-oriented environment
• Looking to be mentored by senior associates

Base Salary Range: $45,000 - $48,000

Rue Gilt Groupe is committed to providing Associates with equal pay for equal work & carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to, prior experience, education, certification(s), license(s), skills & expertise, location,  internal equity, and other factors that are job related & consistent with business need. Our goal is to support, reward & compensate the entire individual. Depending on role eligibility, your offer may also include bonus/commission, stock options, 401(k) participation & match, paid time off, medical, dental, vision & basic life insurance. Therefore, final offer amounts may vary from the amount stated.
