Twilios Lookup product helps to transform phone intelligence data into trusted interactions. Lookup enables customers to build onboarding & engagement experiences that improve delivery & mitigate risk seamlessly without user input.
As a software engineering manager in the Lookup team in Twilios Communications BU, you will lead a team of talented engineers, bringing your unique leadership style to nurture & grow them. You will closely partner with Product to build Twilios Lookup & Identity products & will also have the opportunity to collaborate closely with other leaders on engineering initiatives. Responsibilities
In this role, youll:
- Lead a high-performing team of software engineers & help to retain a great team culture & connection.
- Provide opportunities for career growth & development.
- Mentor engineers to enhance their skills & expertise.
- Partner with Product to prioritize & deliver projects with quality. Manage dependencies & risks effectively.
- Partner with stakeholders to define the technical roadmap & improve operational excellence.
- Guide your team in designing & building high-quality, scalable distributed systems, microservices & APIs.
- Communicate effectively across all levels, both technical & non-technical, ensuring clear understanding & alignment. Build strong relationships with stakeholders & partners.
- Improve engineering processes, tools, & workflows to optimize efficiency & team performance.
Qualifications

Required:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Engineering Management with a track record in building & sustaining high-performance teams.
- Minimum 5 years of experience building enterprise customer-facing products.
- Experience working with Agile/SCRUM methodologies.
- Strong technical knowledge & experience working with highly scalable, fault-tolerant, large distributed systems & microservices architecture.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Java & experiences with cloud platforms like AWS.
- Excellent communication skills; must have professional proficiency in English.
- Strong organizational & project management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent field, or equivalent practical experience.
Desired:
- Experience in developing RESTful APIs.
- Experience in building & operationalizing software solutions following compliance, privacy & security standards
Location
This role will be based in Colombia - Remotely. Approximately 10% travel is anticipated.
