Teachable's mission is to empower Creators to monetize their expertise.” Our online platform enables individuals & small businesses (our Creators”) to build, host, & sell online courses & coaching. (Examples of our Creators & their offerings can be found here, here, & here.) We generate revenue in two ways: (1) from monthly or annual subscription fees (SaaS) paid to us by our Creators for access to the platform; & (2) from transaction fees calculated as a percent of the value of courses & services sold by Creators through our platform. We currently support over 40,000 Creators who have collectively sold over $1 billion in courses & coaching on Teachable.
As the first IT Engineer at Teachable, you'll be responsible for ensuring our rapidly growing team is equipped with the tools needed to deliver a top-notch technical work environment. Your primary day-to-day activities will include the deployment & ongoing maintenance of technical infrastructure across the organization. You will work closely with the rest of IT & our fellows at HotMart to secure Teachable's technical assets & look for ways to improve our processes as the business scales.
