The Products organization drives consumer product innovation & development for Visa in China. The Team identifies, prioritizes & builds alliances & solutions for new products, platforms & market segment penetration. The Team focuses on product/service strategy, market development, product innovation & development, product deployment, enhancements management & strategic alliances.
The Products Analyst supports the development, implementation & digitalization of premium product local platforms (including core benefits, merchant offers & events) as well as the localization of regional product platform benefits - in order to grow Visa's card base & payment volume. The Analyst also supports the development & implementation of issuer initiatives (e.g., card acquisition/activation/upgrade campaign, usage promotion activity) & product digitalization & customization programs. The role works with vendor/merchant partners & Visa local & regional stakeholders (including the AP Products team) to achieve agreed business objectives.
The role reports into Senior Director, Consumer Solutions for East & South Region.
Support development, implementation including digitalization of local product platforms & localization of regional product platform benefits:
o Benefit/offer solicitation & coordination
o Collection of offer materials & creation of issuer communications
o Contract management & internal approvals coordination
o User experience optimization via user centric design & digital capability enhancement
o Program tracking & reporting
o Handling of vendor/merchant requests & inquiries
o Coordination with other markets for offer promotion/communication
Develop & implement issuer initiatives & product customization programs (including vendor/merchant partner development & deployment, documentation, budgeting, internal approvals & reporting)
Track cardholder utilization & results of products/programs & make timely tactical changes in response to fast changing consumer & issuer landscape in China;
Evaluate the effectiveness of platform & key product portfolios, generate activity reports & formulate plans to improve performance
Respond to requests for data analytics & research
Keep up with new market development including Card Value Proposition & digitalization
Collaborate with other Visa internal stakeholders to deliver performance goals including but not limited to Business Development, Merchant Services & Acquiring, Hub Products, Digital Deployment & Solutions, Marketing, Operations, Sourcing, Compliance, Legal & Finance etc.
- Minimum of 3+ years of progressive experience in the payments, e-Commerce or financial services industry, familiarity with Visa systems & processes preferred
- Self-starter, able to work independently & juggle multiple priorities
- Analytical & strategic thinker
- Strong project management & prioritization skills
- Good interpersonal & communications skills
- Good command of spoken & written English & Mandarin Chinese
- MS Office proficiency (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Bachelor's degree or higher
The function that this individual performs is key to delivering on Visa's Expand Access strategic pillar. It forms a part of Visa's Acceptance development, merchant relations, interchange management & industry stakeholder management team. Failure to deliver on those commitments can have a visible & pronounced impact on Visa's revenues, reputation & brand image, & in some cases, can expose the company to financial liability.
