About the role

The Internal Audit Manager is an important part of our growing Internal Audit (IA) function & utilizes data analytics to lead insights, improve efficiency, & mitigate risks.

You will report to the VP, Internal Audit.

Work Location:

If you live within commutable distance to our New York City office ( in Hudson Square), our Tempe office (off the 101 at University Ave), or our Los Angeles office (in Marina Del Rey), you will be expected to come into the office at least two days each week. Otherwise, this is a remote / work-from-home role.  

You must reside in one of the following states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, or Washington, D.C. Pay Transparency:

The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, & Washington is: $108,000 - $141,750 per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $97,200 - $127,575 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscars unlimited vacation program & annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as an important partner in defining the IAs data analytics strategy, including identifying opportunities to use data analytics in IA plan development, risk assessments, internal audits, & reporting. 
  • Lead the integration of data analytics techniques into the internal audit processes & projects.
  • Complete internal audits, with accountability for planning, risk assessment, scoping, building & reporting of the results.
  • Leverage appropriate data analytics tools to identify anomalies, trends, & patterns within datasets.
  • Provide guidance & training to IA team on data analysis tools & techniques.
  • Partner with other teams to understand business processes & identify opportunities to establish and/or enhance automation & monitoring, applying data analytics & AI.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging trends, & technologies related to internal audit, data analytics & GenAI to incorporate them into audit methodologies.
  • Compliance with all applicable laws & regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Data Science, Information Systems, or other related fields, or 4 years of commensurate experience. 
  • 5+ years experience in Public Accounting or equivalent industry experience in internal audit, data analytics, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools such as Alteryx, Looker, SQL, Python, R, Tableau, & Power BI.
  • Understanding of internal audit methodologies & processes, internal controls, risk assessment, COSO (Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission).
  • 2+ years experience in managing a team of internal or co-sourced consulting resources.
  • Interpret complex data sets & communicate insights to diverse audiences.
  • Project management abilities with the capability to lead & prioritize multiple initiatives.

Bonus Points

  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), or equivalent.
  • Experience working with health insurance, electronic health records (EHR), or population health data.

Pay Transparency: 

Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, & experience.
