The role

The Foundations Alliance builds the tools & infrastructure that empower engineering teams across HelloFresh. As a Platform Engineer, youll play a key role in building highly available, secure, & efficient platforms for frontend, backend, & mobile engineers while ensuring adherence to operational & engineering best practices. Above all, we are seeking people passionate about creating a disproportionate impact on the company through improving engineering productivity & operational excellence. 

What youll do

• Architect & build infrastructure automation at scale for 1000+ engineers through  tools like Terraform & Helm
• Build & enhance fault-tolerant & highly available Kubernetes clusters
• Drive positive change in deployment frequency, lead time to change, change failure rate & mean time to restore metrics
• Consult & cooperate with engineers in developing & implementing best practices in the field of cloud infrastructure & software engineering

What youll bring

• Experience building production-scale backend services, CLI tools, or infrastructural components such as Kubernetes operators (preferably in Go or Python)
• Experience working with containerization & orchestration technologies such as Docker & Kubernetes
• Familiarity with at least one cloud platform (e.g. AWS, Azure, or GCP) & its services
• Good knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
• Strong asynchronous communication & collaboration skills
