About the job

Twilio is growing rapidly & seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead our New Business sales segment. 

Responsibilities

As the Director of New Business Sales, youll:

  • Lead a team of experienced AEs mainly focused in the Financial Services vertical.  
  • Bring a strategic vision & innovative approach to expand the New Business sales teams focused on revenue growth, & cross selling Twilios products to New Business named accounts covering Mid-Market & Enterprise companies within North America.
  • Report to the RVP, New Business. 
  • Play a key role in generating incremental revenue, building sales process, developing AEs, & creation of efficient programs that deliver high rep productively in a model that allows us to scale quickly with success.

Required:

  • A leader who lives the Twilio Magic & has a demonstrated track record of success. You should feel comfortable with selling a platform or SaaS, but if you have experience with Contact Centers, Messaging, Call Tracking & other communication solutions even better.
  • Customer focused, metrics driven, embraces a consultative sales philosophy, & is passionate about helping his/her team succeed.
  • You have experience building teams, managing all monthly forecasting, & can support fiscal planning & revenue tracking for all major accounts in the region.
  • Our customers are often application owners, software engineering leaders, product managers, entrepreneurs, & line of business owners. You must love talking to all types of customers about building their businesses & helping them drive innovation across many different types of use cases centered around how our customers communicate with their customers.

Location

This role will be remote, & based in the USA

Travel 

We prioritize connection & opportunities to build relationships with our customers & each other. For this role, approximately 30%-40% travel is anticipated to help you connect in-person in a meaningful way.

*Please note this role is open to candidates outside of Colorado, California, New York, & Washington. The information below is provided for candidates hired in those locations only.

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:

  • Based in Colorado: $166,320 - $207,900.
  • Based in New York, Washington State, or the San Francisco Bay area, California: $184,800 - $231,000.
  • This role may be eligible to participate in Twilios equity plan. All roles are eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
  • This role is eligible to earn commissions. 

The successful candidates starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, & geographic location within the state.
