About the Position:

Were looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Data Center Technician to keep our infrastructure running smoothly & efficiently. In this role, youll install & maintain hardware, manage inventory, & troubleshoot a variety of systems across our labs & data centers. Youll work with everything from servers & cables to HVAC alerts & shipping logistics, playing a key role in keeping Qumulos technical operations on track. Responsibilities:

• Install, provision & repair datacenter hardware (client hardware, storage nodes, networking gear, etc)
• Basic networking & cable management - Fiber, twinax, ethernet, serial, wifi, etc.
• Intermediate OS software configuration - Windows, OSX, Linux, etc.
• Basic data center HVAC & Power management (be able to determine when something is wrong, & inform vendors)
• Shipping & receiving
• Capacity planning & stakeholder management
• Supply ordering & inventory management
• Warranty tracking & returns
• Trash disposal & general grooming of lab spaceAbility to balance competing priorities & drive issues to completion
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree & a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or equivalent work experience
• Experience Troubleshooting Network installation & configuration
• Ability to triage & repairing data center fiber optic cabling/systems & network hardware
• Ability to independently lift & rack equipment up to 50lbs
• May require working in cramped spaces or in elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines

The annual pay range for the role is USD $64,000 - $96,000. 

Individual pay depends on various factors, such as role level, relevant experience & skills, & location. Pay ranges are reviewed & typically updated each year. Offers are made within the pay range applicable at the time.
