About the role

As the Associate, Provider Recruiting you will support the network accessibility, availability & quality of Oscar's Provider Network through the execution of specific network development responsibilities. You will work in collaboration with multiple internal partners, external provider partners to meet market growth, network quality & medical costs targets. You will support the provider recruitment, engagement & education function within the Network Management pillar of Oscar's Insurance Operation function.

You will report to the Senior Director, Network Monitoring & Performance.

If you live within commutable distance to our New York City office (in Hudson Square), our Tempe office (off the 101 at University Dr), or our Los Angeles office (in Marina Del Rey), you will be expected to come into the office at least two days each week. Otherwise, this is a remote / work-from-home role.

Travel Required: Up to 50%- 80% travel required. Travel to may include any of the following states; Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Jersey, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas & Virginia.

Pay Transparency:

The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, & Washington is: $93,600 - $122,850 per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $84,240 - $110,565 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program & annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities

  1. Leverage available demographic data for current Out of network providers to target recruiting for network adequacy needs based on geography, specialty, or member demographics.
  2. Deploy recruiting activities in defined expansion regions based on population demographics, healthcare needs, & competitor presence
  3. Assess potential provider capabilities, workflows & staffing to ensure ability to follow access standards & meet quality of care requirements.
  4. Help develop targeted outreach strategies to attract high-quality providers in desired specialties & locations.
  5. Perform daily outreach & contact with potential providers through phone calls, emails, & in-person meetings to present the benefits of joining the network.
  6. Document provider outreach activities & manage provider data in a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  7. Pitch the network to prospective providers & guide new providers through the process of joining the network.
  8. Participate in process improvement projects to improve workflows & enhance provider experience.
  9. Compliance with all applicable laws & regulations
  10. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's Degree or 4+ years of relevant experience
  2. 3+ years of experience in provider healthcare recruiting & contracting, healthcare client management, healthcare consulting, or a related field
  3. 1+ years experience in provider relations, provider services or provider recruiting, & working to increase growth & expansion in one or more geographical areas

Bonus Points

  1. Experience in physician recruiting/contracting
  2. Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems in a healthcare environment
  3. Experience in credentialing function & credentialing software

Pay Transparency:  Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, & experience.
