Summary:

Acquia is seeking a dynamic & strategic Director of Field Marketing to lead our marketing efforts in the Americas region. In this pivotal role, you will partner closely with the sales team, planning, organizing, & implementing programs to drive enterprise pipeline growth & support revenue objectives. The position involves using a data-driven approach for maximum impact. Responsibilities also extend to the strategic management of live events within the overall marketing mix, focusing on improving engagement through cohesive pre-event, at-event, & post-event strategies.

The ideal candidate, with a consistent track record in building & leading field marketing teams, excels in implementing high-touch experiences & achieving measurable results in a fast-paced environment. Success in this role requires a strategic approach, exceptional collaboration skills, & the ability to effectively balance local & corporate needs.

Responsible for:

  • Build & implement an integrated marketing plan, combining locally created initiatives with global activities in collaboration with the sales team & cross-functional marketing partners
  • Implement & run target account strategies supporting account-based marketing & selling
  • Proactively engage with sales teams to coordinate, communicate & optimize the impact of marketing activities
  • Communicate & educate the sales team regarding new & planned marketing activities including global, regional & local programs
  • Lead ongoing relationships with vendors & event partners, including sourcing, negotiation, & contract management
  • Maintain budget trackers & event planning documents, facilitating goal alignment through effective communication
  • Lead a successful team in implementing measurable field marketing programs
  • Analyze & provide feedback on the team's campaigns, tactics, & messaging
  • Track program results, measure success & report metrics to partners across the business
  • Develop & implement bold event strategies, emphasizing pipeline & revenue generation with a focus on return on investment
  • Lead pre- & post-event initiatives, including logistics, promotion, & return on investment measurement

Job Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of B2B marketing experience in field marketing, regional marketing or related roles with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Shown success in developing & implementing field marketing strategies driving pipeline growth & revenue
  • Experience in high-tech or enterprise software industries preferred
  • Ability to influence & collaborate with various cross-functional teams & align tactical plans with strategies
  • Proficient with marketing automation, CRM & account based management tools such as 6Sense to track, measure, & report on campaign performance
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to use data & market insights to make informed decisions & optimize programs & marketing return on investment
  • Strong communication skills, emphasis on effective collaboration, coordination, & attention to detail
  • Creative problem solver who is adept at working on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, & comfortable adding new ideas
  • Detail oriented with strong program management skills, balanced with the ability to think strategically
  • Willingness to travel as needed
