RAPP Chicago is looking for a VP, Group Account Director to join our award-winning Account Leadership team.

RAPP is an integral part of Omnicoms Precision Marketing Group, comprising 4,000 creatives, technologists, strategists, & data & marketing scientists across 40 global markets. 

YOUR ROLE:

Supports our clients overall mission to modernize their data & marketing technology infrastructure & enable best-in-class marketing strategies to reach target audiences with precision, & effectively track, report & optimize each step of the customer journey. Balance team leadership & managerial responsibilities with subject matter expertise in overseeing & supporting data & platform enablement deliverables. Youll provide sound strategic guidance & leadership to your team, colleagues & senior level clients (SVP & CMO level) & other agency leaders.  You will provide guidance to the day-to-day teams & senior leaders responsible for managing our clients business as well as build relationships with senior clients in our portfolio to identify opportunities for optimization & growth & be a trusted advisor as they lead their teams & organizational transformation.  You will be an avid follower of shifts in the data/mar-tech environment & provide guidance to the team & clients as to how to adjust strategy to best position them in the context of these shifts.  You will also educate the broader Accound team to ensure we are delivering state-of-the-art counsel & content to our clients.  You will serve as an agency leader & contribute significantly to the performance & revenue of the account. You are a true leader who demonstrates passion in all that you do, an entrepreneur, an innovator, & a driver of growth for your clients businesses & RAPPs.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Delivery Management

  • Develop a sound understanding of clients business issues, industry, competitors, & brands to help guide clients with articulating their needs, & the agency in developing groundbreaking solutions.
  • Ensure delivery roadmaps are aligned to clients business needs & strategic business direction.
  • Collaborate with the funcgtional teams (experience strategy, marketing operations, marketing science & technology) to garner a deep understanding of the current data & technology ecosystem as well as the vision for the future state in order to enhance capabilities for best-in-class marketing.
  • Develop strategic initiatives to impact client business & drive agency growth.
  • Hold teams accountable to deliver against client roadmaps & course correct as necessary.
  • Partner closely with functional & agency leaders to ensure teams are working in an integrated manner to deliver against client goals.
  • Communicate with credibility to garner trust with executive clients.
  • Partner closely with other leaders to develop new tools/methodologies & improvements to ways of working that improve the agencys & clients performance & profitability.
  • Bring past knowledge & experience of industry best practices to establish standard operating processes for monitoring performance & predicting anomalies in data & technical capabilities.

Business & Client Management

  • Build & nurture strategic relationships with key decision makers as well as influencers in the client organization & agency partners.
  • Understand the role data & technology platforms play within the clients marketing ecosystem & iInspire clients as well as agency team to new, innovative platform solutions.
  • Identify organic growth opportunities & lead associated development plans.
  • Consider all financial implications of business decisions, & recommend solutions that protect & grow the agencys bottom line longer term.
  • Participate in new business efforts, supporting the internal team, & client.

Account Growth

  • Set yearly engagement & development plans-core & growth elements
  • Drive organic growth, identifying, & opening new revenue streams
  • Establish & monitor full P&L responsibility for assigned account/s
  • Track month to month commercials & course correct with team
  • Drive new business, leading the brief, internal team, & client/prospect
  • Lead the pitch, win the pitch, scoping, & implementation into the client.

Team Management

  • Provide hands-on inspirational strategic leadership & guidance for teams.
  • Build strong working relationships with functional leads & team members.
  • Keep leaders apprised of key client opportunities, potential risks & other nuances which could impact the health of the business or client deliverables.
  • Set high standards of quality , develop, coach, & mentor talent.
  • Work with SVP & Human Resources to identify, attract & retain talent.
  • Provide inspiring team training & thoughtful input on career roadmaps.
  • Allocate resources creatively, balancing client needs with profitability.
  • Resolve conflict, reducing organization & interpersonal issues.
  • Continually inspire teams to generate new ideas & evolve existing programs.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 10+ years experience managing clients in performance marketing
  • Experience in advertising/digital marketing/consulting/professional services
  • Experience in managing organizations or multi-client services teams
  • Experience in the application of multi-channel marketing programs in the areas of customer acquisition, retention & optimization
  • Established track record of successful financial business growth
  • Possess excellent planning, organizational, & problem solving skills.
  • Must have leadership, coaching & mentoring qualities
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation & written skills

Strong managerial skills focus on, & commitment to, development & growth of talent

RAPP's current hybrid model is designed to enable in-person connections & collaboration that is core to our culture, while also supporting flexibility for all employees. As such, we have the option to work from home two days per week, if we'd like.

This range is specific to Chicago & multiple factors are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: skill set, experience & training, certifications; etc. This is an exempt position.
