We are looking for an experienced backend engineer to join our Data Foundations team.

In this team, you will be building the robust framework that enables all other teams to manage & leverage data with unprecedented efficiency & accuracy. So, what will you be doing all day?

• Design & develop internal tools & services that revolutionize how we manage data versioning, ensuring data integrity & accessibility for all teams.
• Spearhead the creation of a comprehensive data catalog, providing a single source of truth for our datas metadata, enhancing discoverability, & streamlining data governance.
• Collaborate closely with diverse data teams across the company, gathering requirements, & tailoring solutions that meet the unique needs of each team while fostering a culture of data excellence.
• Drive the adoption of best practices in data management & process optimization, advocating for scalable & efficient methodologies that elevate our data operations.
• Continuously explore & integrate cutting-edge technologies & methodologies to keep our data infrastructure agile & capable of handling evolving business needs.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives, acting as both a technical leader & a bridge builder among various teams, ensuring seamless integration & alignment of data strategies.

This is the perfect job for someone who:

• A BSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields.
• 4+ years of hands-on coding experience in languages like Python, C#, Java, Node.js, Scala, or Go.
• A knack for understanding & solving complex data management challenges.
• Experience improving stability of large-scale systems using monitoring, solving bottle-necks & making appropriate changes.
• High coding standards, working independently & experience leading long term tech tasks involving many teams & stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication skills, enabling you to effectively collaborate with diverse teams, understand their needs, & translate them into actionable technical solutions.
• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
• An approachable, fun, & positive demeanor, making you a delightful teammate who brings not only expertise but also joy & camaraderie to the workplace. Being nice & fun to work with is as crucial to us as your technical skills.
