About The Team:
This role oversees the smooth operation of the automated equipment during production; from setting up the equipment to analysing data to provide improvement areas. This is done through effective communication & using bespoke software tools. The Flow Controller mainly interacts with Operations Managers, Shift Manager, Engineering & Automation Tech teams. They monitor production lines, report issues, & help solve problems. They also assist with testing new systems & work on improving box production efficiency by addressing bottlenecks, stock issues, & quality problems, coordinating teams as needed.

What You Will Be Doing: 

• Use Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) & Production Control Systems (PCS) to ensure that machine statuses are active & correctly set up.
• Identify and, when possible, anticipate conveyor jams. Notify engineering if needed & ensure balanced box flow.
• Conduct regular checks on line throughput, analysing choke points, & taking remedial action to address any issues.
• Effectively coordinate service & support functions to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.
• Provide reports & analysis on machine performance

• Proven experience in a manufacturing or distribution centre environment.
• Proficiency in using computer software & systems.
• Problem-solving skills & the agility to make decisions in a fast-paced production environment.
• Excellent organisational & time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks & meet deadlines.
• Strong communications skills & ability to positively collaborate across teams & departments.

Location: 1 Holme Lane, Spondon, Derby, DE21 7HW

Work Schedule - Wednesday - Saturday 7-7 (Rotating days & nights every 3 months)
