ABOUT THE ROLE

The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) & Head of Enterprise IT will lead our dynamic Information Security & IT organization for one of the top e-commerce companies revolutionizing how people shop. Reporting directly to the Chief Product & Technology Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of information security, including Cloud Security, DevSecOps, Security Operations, & Security Strategy. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the reliability, scalability, & security of our systems to support our rapidly evolving business while adhering to industry best practices. As Head of Information Technology, youll also be responsible for all areas of the IT organization including IT Infrastructure, Enterprise Applications & Insights, Business Systems, Employee Technology Services, & IT Analytics. 

The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader who possesses a complementary balance of business & technology in a SaaS environment with an emphasis on business value, quality & optimization of service, system integrity & stability.

In addition to the operational responsibility, this is a strategic leadership role that requires strong partnership with almost every function across the company, including Engineering, Algorithms, Security, Product, Finance, Marketing, Client Services, Warehouse Operations & work seamlessly with the executive team. Partnering with other senior leaders across the company, youll translate information technology capabilities into strategic business decisions.  Youll build a strong long-term technology strategy that aligns with the company strategic plan & influences the overall company direction. Youll drive accountability & metrics ownership to translate strategy into results. And youll align & inspire your organization by effectively communicating & engaging the team in the strategy.

• You will lead & manage the Information Security and  Information Technology organization, inclusive of enterprise applications, business systems supporting various verticals in Finance, Marketing, Customer Experience & Human Resources, SaaS based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Employee Technology Services, IT Infrastructure, Operations & platforms. 
• Mentor & coach security practitioners, fostering a culture of continuous learning & professional growth
• Update the Companys Board of Directors quarterly on the state of the Companys security posture  
• Develop & implement a multi-year security strategy & roadmap to anticipate & address security challenges in alignment with company growth objectives
• Drive the evolution of security capabilities, including Cloud Security, DevSecOps, & Security Operations, to support the company's high-growth trajectory
• Develop a multi-year strategy & roadmap for IT to anticipate & scale to support all business initiatives across the company 
• Identify, assess, & manage security risks, ensuring the resilience of IT systems & infrastructure across global operations
• Anticipate & manage future technology debt challenges through partnership & raising awareness of technical dependencies
• Lead the development & implementation of security programs, focusing on usable security solutions that support business innovation while mitigating risks
• Drive the adoption of secure development practices & tools, ensuring the integrity of software products & infrastructure in cloud-native environments.

• Have a Bachelors degree in Technology, Information Systems, Analysis, Business or equivalent relevant experience 
• Bring 12+ years of experience in Information Security & IT services & projects in a cloud-native, engineering-heavy technology environment
• Bring 8+ years of people management experience
• Are an experienced leader, able to guide teams & executives through complex, data-driven decisions
• Possess a deep understanding of IT operations & business systems in the context of resilient business & technology processes
• Have a track record for delivery in a complex, rapidly changing environment
• Champion & drive a culture of continuous learning to improve execution & remove roadblocks that are holding the team back.
• Act as a strategic partner who can translate business problems to technology solutions
• Work effectively across the business to influence & create client value
