About the job

This position is needed to lead relationships with our largest current Financial Services & Fintech  Enterprise customers who consume our messaging, voice & email services.  You will be directly responsible for protecting & growing Twilios communications business across your assigned customers. As a Senior Strategic Account Executive, you will drive highly analytical & consultative sales cycles with customers that are running large scale, global, competitively sourced, compliance-heavy, use case-specific businesses. This role is highly cross functional, & your success will depend on building deep partnerships across product management, finance, support, & operations.  

Responsibilities

In this role, youll:

  • Manage & expand some of our most important Financial Services & Fintech accounts. 
  • Develop, drive, & execute account strategy to consistently deliver strong revenue, gross margin, & gross profit results.
  • Partner closely with other Twilio teams to identify new revenue opportunities within your account portfolio.
  • Serve on a cross-functional account team with representatives from product, finance, support, & services teams.
  • Run a disciplined forecast, consistently achieve goals, & present guidance to executive management.
  • Run highly consultative sales cycles with our largest customers with a focus on deep discovery, listening to customer needs & being an effective champion for their point of view in the organization
  • Generate pipeline through proactive efforts & collaboration with your manager.
  • Share industry developments with your team & peers.

Required:

  • 7+ years of Enterprise Sales experience & a track record of selling complex technical solutions 
  • Accountable for relationship management, cross sells, upsells & solutions consulting.
  • Record of delivering revenue & gross profit results, especially for large-scale & enterprise customers.
  • Comfortable working with business & highly technical leaders, while influencing their understanding & building supportive partnerships.
  • Track record of identifying & building relationships widely across a given account
  • Analytical account development strategy based on using data to find opportunities & prove value.
  • Demonstrated track record of managing business forecasts & financial models. 
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with appetite to define process & build programs.
  • Familiarity with Sales Tools: Salesforce, Outreach, LinkedIn SalesNav, ZoomInfo, Looker, Tableau, G-Suite, Gong
  • Hands on. Passionate. Creative. Ethical. Team-player. Eager to deliver excellence.
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent years of experience.

Desired:

  • Domain expertise from a highly quantitative industry such as financial services, investment banking, Fintech, & security or commodity trading especially in non-standard segments.
  • Deep experience working with telecom companies, including CPAAS, SMS aggregators, carriers, or global communications platforms.
  • Experience selling API-based solutions
  • Software, SaaS, CPaas or PaaS selling experience.

Location 

This role will be based in the Bay Area.

Approximately 15% travel is anticipated.

*Please note this role is open to candidates outside of Colorado, California, New York, & Washington. The information below is provided for candidates hired in those locations only.

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:

  • Based in Colorado: $144,720 - $180,900.
  • Based in New York, Washington State, or the San Francisco Bay area, California: $160,800 - $201,000
  • This role may be eligible to participate in Twilios equity plan. All roles are eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
  • This role is eligible to earn commissions. 

The successful candidates starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, & geographic location within the state.
