Position
WorkFusion is seeking a Scrum Master to serve as a leader & a coach for various teams - helping them to apply the principles of Agile & become more effective at delivering software. This is a highly pro-active & motivated individual with strong facilitation & problem-solving skills. The Scrum Master builds trusting relationships, keeps an eye on team health, promotes solid collaboration across the product development team & organization. The Scrum Master organizes & runs Agile events using creative facilitation strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Create environment for teams to succeed by coaching Agile principles & values when problems are raised & solved
Embody agility using a servant leadership approach & leading by example
Coach & mentor team members on Agile standards & best practices, e.g, Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.
Build self-organized teams coaching them in continuous improvement, cross-functionality, risk identification, dependency management, conflict resolution, shared responsibilities, & software craftsmanship
Help teams agree on a coordination mechanism
Support & educate the Product Owner with respect to refining & managing the product backlog
Help the team continuously improve their interactions, practices, & process through valuable inspect & adapt practices
Facilitate Scrum events & activities as necessary & ensure the team is realizing value from them (including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Retrospective & Backlog Refinement)
Apply top-notch modern development practices & introduce these to the team
Qualifications/Experience
BA/BS degree
2+ years experience working as a dedicated Scrum Master in a software development company
Professional Scrum Master certification
Deep understanding of Agile techniques & engineering practices: User Stories, TDD, Continuous Integration & Deployment, Continuous Testing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
Good knowledge of servant leadership principles, natural skills in facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continuous improvement & empowerment
Understanding of intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach, & familiarity with techniques to resolve these gaps
Excellent writing/listening skills, good presentation skills
