The ideal candidate has proven experience in testing & evaluating financial & business process controls as well as participating in operational audits over financial & business processes.
KEY DUTIES:
- Key contributor to the execution of the financial audit plan; work as an integrated team with the other Audit team members on joint financial/IT reviews
- Responsible for testing the design & operating effectiveness of SOX business process controls; including identification of process improvement opportunities
- Support the maintenance of risk control matrices, flowcharts, memos, etc.
- Participate in control walk-throughs, documenting processes & determine necessary/applicable modifications.
- Communication of findings & coordination of mitigation & remediation activities
- Assist in the development of a combined assurance approach, & work & coordinate with external audit, when required
- Provide guidance to members of the business as it relates to control interpretation, applicability, & practice
- Assist in special projects & investigations as necessary
EXPERIENCE:
- 1+ years relevant SOX compliance audit or advisory experience; public accounting experience is preferred, but not required
- A strong understanding of financial & operational controls
- Understanding of internal control framework concepts, including Sarbanes-Oxley, Model Audit Rule, & GAAP & the application of those standards in regards to risk management & audit planning.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field
- CPA, CIA, and/or CISA Certification
- Strong understanding of audit planning techniques & methods used to review & evaluate financial & operating records, statements, & reports
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues & connect the dots across multiple areas
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently & assuredly with stakeholders across the organization.

COMPENSATION:
- The base salary range for this position is 750,000- 900,000
**This compensation range is based on BARKs good faith estimate as of the date of this posting & may be modified in the future. Actual pay for this position will depend on a variety of variables including location, travel, internal equity, experience, education, skills & expertise.
