The role

Foundations Alliances mission is to accelerate the delivery of high-quality, scalable, & highly available digital products at HelloFresh. We do this by providing services & platforms that improve our internal builders organisation productivity & the reliability of our applications & our data. 
For our alliance we are seeking a highly technical & strategic Product Manager to own the vision, strategy, & execution of our core data processing & streaming platform. You will be at the center of our data ecosystem, responsible for ensuring that high-quality data from our systems is made available seamlessly for both real-time applications & downstream analytics. You will also ensure that those events can be connected with other sources, e.g. front-end generated data.
Your core mission is to minimize data pipeline latency & maximize data observability coverage. You will define the roadmap for our data platform infrastructure (Kafka, Flink, S3, Databricks, Snowflake) & work cross-functionally with engineering, backend teams, data analysts & data consumers to build solutions that are easy to use, reliable, & trustworthy.

What youll do

• Define & communicate product vision & long-term strategy for the data streaming & processing platform & align it with our broader personalisation & app engagement strategies.
• Take full ownership of the platform's main KPIs, define metrics, set targets, & drive the roadmap to improve them.
• Develop & manage a prioritized product roadmap, balancing a thinnest possible platform approach with long-term platform health, reliability, & scalability.
• Collaborate closely with backend engineering teams to define, automate & enforce data contracts, ensuring high-quality events are produced at the source.
• Guide the development of our real-time streaming capabilities to power a customer profile for in-product features, alerts, & real-time monitoring.
• Oversee the data lifecycle for analytics, ensuring data lands accurately & efficiently in our data lake & is optimized for consumption in our Lakehouse.
• Champion & expand our data observability practice. Automate monitoring of data freshness, volume, distribution, & lineage.
• Act as the primary point of contact between platform engineers & data consumers (analysts, data scientists, & other product teams). Translate business needs into technical requirements & vice-versa.

What youll bring

• You are an experienced Product Manager (7+ years) who is passionate about & familiar with data platforms, data engineering, developer platforms, or an adjacent highly technical domain. You have a deep understanding of data processing paradigms & modern data architectures.
• You are familiar with the core components of our tech stack, like Streaming, Cloud & Data Lake, & Data Warehouses.
• You have a proven track record of defining & driving key product metrics, especially technical KPIs like latency, uptime, & data quality.
• You have demonstrated analytical & problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex technical problems into actionable steps.
• You have a track record of working with a wide range of stakeholders, influencing & aligning both technical & non-technical stakeholders, from engineers to senior executives.
