The Regional People Director will report into the VP, Field HR & will support CLEARs field operations within an assigned division. You are the primary People Team leader for a division & will partner broadly across the organization to ensure cohesive & functional people practices & strategies for optimal support of operational teams. The responsibilities of this position include employee relations, disciplinary counseling guidance, wage & hour & legal compliance, salary administration, & the professional development of People Partner(s).


What you'll do:

  • Support the creation & execution of CLEARs core values & People initiatives. Implementing strategies to support the field team member lifecycle at CLEAR including but not limited to:
    • Work closely with Regional Operations Leadership to support, coach, & develop CLEAR teams on People policies & procedures. 
    • Partner with Operations Leadership to develop & administer policies & programs that allow team members to maximize their contributions to the station KPIs
    • Act as a consultant to Operations Leadership with Team Member progressive discipline process & provide support on corrective action & investigations to ensure proper procedures & documentation are followed
    • Partner with legal to review & approve terminations & assess risk associated with investigations; exercise care that reasons are well documented per company policy & are not arbitrary or discriminatory
    • Compliance oversight at all assigned locations regarding employment practices including recruiting & selection process, workers compensation, I-9 reporting, Team Member record keeping, EEOC compliance & reporting
    • Analyze location turnover & partner with Operations Leadership on retention programs
    • Coach & partner with Operations Leadership to effectively execute activities to foster & increase employee engagement & feedback
    • Conduct exit & stay interviews with Managers; share feedback & trends with Operations Leadership
    • Support open enrollment, life events & ongoing benefits questions as needed
  • Create & execute all field recruiting strategies to support the strategic hiring needs of all CLEAR locations including but not limited to:
    • Consult with Operations Leadership on recruiting, internal mobility, succession planning, building teams, identifying talent gaps & making plans for future growth
    • Develop Manager skills in recruiting by providing tools, training & direction to support proactive recruiting
  • Provide insights on business trends, barriers & opportunities that may impact the business

What you're great at:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent training & experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources. Generalist and/or HRBP experience in the hospitality or retail industry is preferred
  • Proficiency, knowledge, & experience in all HR processes: selection & employment (sourcing strategies, interviewing skills, Employment laws, college recruiting, on-boarding), employee relations, compensation, benefits administration, workers compensation, & talent management
  • Working knowledge of federal & state laws & regulations
  • Broad knowledge & experience in California employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, team relations & safety. 
  • Strong planning & project management skills & ability to apply these skills in effective working partnerships across organizational lines
  • Experience in coaching & providing training for business partners & managers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including leadership, influencing, & relationship-building across functions
  • Experience with HR systems (ATS, HRIS, Performance Management)
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills, including group facilitation & presentation skills
  • Location based in Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco, Denver, Las Vegas or Phoenix; ability to travel as needed

The base salary range for this role is $120,000 - $145,000, depending on levels of skills & experience.

The base salary range represents the low & high end of CLEARs salary range for this position. Salaries will vary depending on various factors which include, but are not limited to location, education, skills, experience & performance. The range listed is just one component of CLEARs total compensation package for employees & other rewards may include annual bonuses, commission, Restricted Stock Units
