As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be part of the team building the Next Generation Data processing platform with cost-effective & distributed applications on commodity hardware using best-in-class technology components. You will work with colleagues, who will support & challenge you daily. You will be take leadership roles working on multiple projects building Data lake architecture environment that serves a highly functional, distributed, secure, scalable & resilient platform. We believe in self-managing Agile teams who build products end to end focusing on unit testing, code reviews & continuous integration for excellent code quality. You will see the code written & moved to production within just a few days for downstream applications to get the data on time. - You have a Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field & 5+ years of Software Development Experience or at least 3 years of experience with aMasters in Computer science, Computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent field
- You have experience with Java,Scala, Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, Hive based technologies.
- You have strong experience with Agile development (scrum, Kanban etc) incorporating Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery, utilizing technologies such as GIT, Maven, Jenkins.
- Ensure proper metrics instrumentation in software components, to help facilitate real time & remote troubleshooting/performance monitoring.
- Understand & own component security analysis, including code & data flow review. Collaborate with security team to implement & verify secure coding techniques.
