Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description: As a Manufacturing Engineer at HelloFresh & Factor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our production lines run smoothly & efficiently. You will be an individual contributor responsible for maximizing equipment uptime, selecting state-of-the-art machinery, & leading equipment innovation projects. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding the installation of new equipment, collaborating with vendors, & training our team members to maintain optimal production standards.You will collaborate with Engineering peers, Production, Safety, Culinary, & Construction to accomplish your goals.
You will
- Lead & support improvement projects related to efficiency, increased volume, cost reduction, improved safety, & product quality improvements from ideation to implementation.
- Develop & apply knowledge of food manufacturing equipment & internal production processes.
- Author & update SOPs, submit regulatory process documentation, & publish project communications.
- Present project findings, & propose actionable engineering solutions based on process & equipment benchmarking, root cause analysis, thorough data analysis, & equipment engineering principles.
- Collaborate with team & stakeholders on assigned projects including engineering peers, Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Culinary R&D, Product Validation, Sanitation, & Safety.
You are
- Excellent with interpersonal skills, professional attitude & approach, & have the ability to interact with individuals at various levels of the organization.
- Technically proficient in equipment capabilities, standards, performance improvement, statistics.
- Able to analyze & provide solutions for equipment & process improvements.
- Experienced in developing preferred methods/Standard Operating Procedures.
- Proficient in utilizing labor data to cost justify capital expenditure & process change ROI.
- A strong project manager & able to manage concurrent deliverables & project deadlines
You have
- BS Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar field required.
- 2-5 years of Food Manufacturing experience as well as knowledge of FDA/USDA standards desired.
- 2-5 yearsexperience investigating, analyzing, justifying & selecting equipment to assist the company in making the correct decision to improve costs & efficiencies.
- 2-5 years of engineering, project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Lean Six Sigma certification & Kaizen experience desired.
- Comfort & experience working on the production floor & engaging with equipment & operators
