The Team & Role

We are seeking a talented remote Product Designer with a specialized focus on mobile design. In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing & designing innovative SevenRooms iOS app & web features specifically tailored for restaurant operators & front-of-house staff in their daily restaurant operations. You will be joining a high-performing Design Team & reporting directly to our Product Design Lead.

The SevenRooms Mobile & Venue Experience Squads are dedicated to developing software solutions for Front-of-House restaurant staff, empowering them to deliver exceptional hospitality experiences before, during, & after service. Our iPad & iPhone app is currently used by over 25,000 active restaurant hosts & managers on a daily basis. It enables them to efficiently seat guests, manage reservations, track & honor guest preferences, & much more. Joining our passionate & ambitious team, you will play a crucial role in optimizing front-of-house operations & enhancing the overall diner experience through seamless & personalized service. We are seeking a mobile-obsessed & data-driven designer who is excited about leveraging their expertise to deliver tangible improvements to restaurant operations & guest satisfaction.

Product Designers at SevenRooms operate in a shared team, working alongside tenured members of the team with varied skill sets. Weve built our product team up with the most creative, driven, & passionate entrepreneurs & foodies we could find. This small but mighty team is incredibly collaborative, while having the independence to find their niche & have a large impact while doing so. What Youll Do

• User Experience Design: Conceptualize & design end-to-end user flows that minimize friction & accomplish goals for restaurant operators, allowing user needs & pain points to inform innovative design solutions.
• UI & Visual Design: Design simple & functional high-fidelity interfaces. Own a set of reusable design patterns specifically for the SevenRooms mobile app.
• UX Research & Usability Testing: Lead design & product management teams in discovery research to identify users' needs, goals, & pain points; Conduct frequent usability tests on flows for constant iteration.
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the Product Design Team to review & hone your designs regularly as well as help others hone theirs. Collaborate with product management to align on outcomes & user needs, & visualize guest experience innovations.

Who You Are

• 2+ years of product design experience at B2B or B2B2C SaaS companies
• Experience designing successful mobile & web product features, end-to-end
• iOS or mobile design experience required
• Solid understanding of iOS patterns & frameworks, & can communicate with engineers to ensure designs are properly implemented.
• Ability to design solutions that combine digital & in-person components
• Ability to translate user needs, goals, & pain points into highly functional designs
• A keen eye for visual detail, layout, hierarchy, typography, & animation
• Curiosity to dig several layers deep into solutions with an eye toward continuous improvement
• An open mind & flexibility around testing new approaches & the ability to harness failures & turn them into wins
