Position Overview

RAPP Indian Ocean is currently seeking a Business Analyst to join our Technology team. We are seeking passionate individuals eager for personal & professional growth within our supportive & collaborative culture. In this dynamic role, you will work with the Business to understand the Product & the user journeys; & provide solutions for critical & complex feature releases to meet end user requirements, including documentation of functional & systems specifications. Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in planning efforts, providing input based on subject area knowledge.
  • Provide direction & feedback to internal teams as well as end-users.
  • Engage with internal teams to understand architecture implications of potential new features or requirements.
  • Engage with business users to understand needs, using domain knowledge to provide recommendations.
  • Identify alignments & gaps between end user requirements & system capabilities.
  • Create user personas & journeys, using UML diagrams.
  • Document solutions using Business Requirement Specifications / Functional Design Documents / Technical Design Document.
  • Manage & track project progress against Functional Traceability Matrix.
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously across cross-functional teams.
  • Conduct business analysis acceptance testing (BAAT).
  • Work with QA teams to ensure that all product use cases are covered, that quality standards are met, & that user value is delivered.
  • Work with the development team, delivery team, & Product Managers to ensure that processes are refined & evolved to achieve continuous improvement.
  • Work with the Technology team to identify infrastructure investments, third-party technologies, & architectural enhancements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams & customers to launch solutions, ensuring execution of training & communication plans.
  • Contribute to team activities like daily standups, planning meeting, retrospectives & any other discussions.
  • Represent the team on cross team discussions.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of proven work experience as a Technical Product Owner/Business/System Analyst.
  • Thorough understanding of Agile processes, & a track record of working in an Agile environment.
  • Hands on experience with technical documentation creation & maintenance.
  • Good experience in UML diagrams creation or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of reporting & Business Intelligence concepts.
  • Understanding of Product Owner role in Agile projects.
  • Proficient in the use of analytic tools necessary to build prototypes & requirements documents.
  • Practical experience with JIRA, Confluence, SQL.
  • Advanced written & spoken English skills.

Additional Skills

  • Experience working as a QA/QC Engineer in the past.
  • Knowledge of testing mobile applications, APIs.
  • Degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Business Analysis theory, BABOK.
  • Professional certification: CSPO / PSPO / IIBA: CBAP
