The role: 

As a member of the Product Marketing team at Newsela, youll be an expert on the needs & challenges of our district target customers, & youll use that expertise to inform our Formative product & go-to-market strategy & position Formative as an essential solution for our customers & prospects. 

Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Marketing, youll be responsible for differentiating Formative in the market through buyer & market insights, product requirements, marketing content, & sales enablement efforts. Youll also partner with colleagues on the Product & Design teams to bring new products & features to market with launch & promotional plans that will resonate with our target audiences. 

You will: 

  • Gather & synthesize user, buyer, competitor, & market insights & deliver them as product requirements to inform Newselas Product roadmap.
  • Own planning & GTM execution for Formative product & feature launches.
  • Develop & maintain product messaging & marketing materials that differentiate Newselas assessment solutions in the market among buyers.
  • Build & deliver enablement materials to ensure Newselas externally-facing teams are prepared to effectively deliver our value propositions to customers.
  • Support go-to-market efforts to expand Formatives reach in international markets.

Why youre a great fit:

  • You have a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
  • Youre a collaborative marketer who has been in a B2B Product Marketing role for at least 5 years, ideally with some of that time in K-12 education.
  • You have experience launching new products & features, developing product value propositions, & building & maintaining buyer personas.
  • Youve created marketing assets that run the gamut from sales enablement resources & competitive battlecards to webinars & product videos, & you love digging into marketing performance data to understand what content & formats resonate most with your target audiences. 
  • Youre a natural communicator with excellent written & verbal communication skills, & you can synthesize complex information into a compelling story. 
  • You are organized & collaborative, capable of managing complex, interdependent projects & maintaining multiple workstreams.
  • You have a user-centric approach & strong desire to deliver valuable experiences to users & make an impact in K-12 education.

Base compensation: $90,000 - $100,000. Total compensation for this role also includes incentive stock options & benefits. This compensation range may be adjusted based on actual experience.
