As Compass experiences massive growth, we are looking for the best & brightest to drive strategic business decisions. As Head of Strategy & Planning, you will report directly to the President of Compass East & work closely with the General Managers in our East region & FP&A & Strategic Finance teams to help drive organizational planning & operational excellence across our markets. Your primary goals will be to make analytically-driven strategic decisions & to increase operational rigor. You have a highly flexible skillset to juggle a range of tasks, including resource planning & analysis, business goal definition & metrics tracking, developing data-driven business reviews to support senior management in our regions, ad hoc performance analyses, & coordination & leadership of critical projects across the company.

At Compass You Will:

  • Establish a deep understanding of the business & our customer, & leverage data to build insights about our markets, products & competitors
  • Frame decisions & contribute a strong point of view on how to strengthen our regional businesses
  • Connect the dots between teams & regions to identify areas for improvement, efficiency, & collaboration
  • Partner with FP&A to provide key inputs & managerial oversight of regional forecasting & reporting, including regional variances
  • Contribute to profitability by providing senior leadership with the visibility & insights necessary to effectively manage the regional P&L
  • Developing reporting tools & provide financial partnership to regional leaders
  • Design & track the regional staffing models
  • Analyze & help manage office utilization & other regional operational policies
  • Manage invoice approvals, & support contract negotiations, budgeting for regional offices & vendor management
  • Develop & monitor in-depth market share model for region

What Were Looking For:

  • Ability to develop strong relationships with senior management, communicate effectively in meetings & describe deliverables & project milestones
  • Must possess excellent analytical & presentation skills with the ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, & develop actionable recommendations for senior management & other stakeholders
  • Positive attitude & solutions-oriented approach. Ability & desire to be hands on in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment
  • Humble team player who understands the importance of the role as a key support partner to the operating team
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Systems aptitude & process mapping skills strongly preferred
  • Strong Excel modeling skills
  • Proactive individual seeking additional responsibility at all times
  • Ability to work under pressure of tight deadlines
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelors degree required, MBA preferred
