We are looking for a Marketing Data Engineer who is passionate about helping developers & small businesses succeed with cloud technology.
Reporting to the Director of Growth Analytics & Operations, you will be a key technical contributor supporting Acquisition & Growth Marketing through clean, accessible, & actionable data. Youll build the pipelines, systems, & services that empower our teams to scale their efforts across hundreds of thousands of customers.
What Youll be doing:
- Youll manage the data infrastructure that powers our growth: You will design, build, & maintain the ETL pipelines that extract data from backend services, transform it into usable formats, & load it into Snowflake for analysis & decision-making. Your work ensures our marketing & growth teams have the right data at the right time.
- Youll make customer data available in real-time: From building services that extract data from key systems like Marketo & Jitsu to ensuring clean ingestion into our CDP (Segment), youll be responsible for making customer behavior data actionable across marketing channels & dashboards.
- Youll ensure data reliability & governance: Youll develop & maintain frameworks for data validation, quality monitoring, & governance. You'll document systems, automate processes, & support incident response to maintain high data integrity & system uptime.
- Youll work cross-functionally: Partnering with the Growth Engineering, Growth Marketing, Product, & Data Science teams to ensure data flows smoothly across systems & supports experimentation, measurement, & personalization at scale. Youll be shipping code into our product & backend infrastructure to implement & operationalize your data goals!
What Well Expect from you:
- A deep understanding of data engineering systems: You have strong experience with Python & SQL, understand the principles of data modeling & pipeline architecture, & can build robust services to enable data sharing across tools like Snowflake, Segment, & Jitsu.
- Full stack engineering chops & technical independence: Youre comfortable interfacing with backend & frontend systems that require engineering-level access. Prior experience with Go, React, Node.js and Typescript/Javascript will be valuable in this role, & experience with Kafka & CI/CD is a bonus. You can work autonomously to extract critical metadata & customer data from services used across the company.
- Experience with cloud-native tools & infrastructure: You have hands-on experience with cloud data tools (e.g., Snowflake, Airflow, Segment) & containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Experience with dbt is a plus.
- Operational rigor: You bring strong monitoring, documentation, & automation practices to your work. You know how to identify & troubleshoot pipeline issues & are proactive about root cause analysis & long-term stability.
- Strategic problem-solving: You can see the big picture while owning the technical details. You bring ideas to life through experimentation, & you understand how clean, reliable data unlocks better customer experiences & business growth.
- Domain experience: Familiarity with growth experimentation, product-led growth strategies, or digital marketing ecosystems is a plus.
