THE INTERNSHIP UI/UX Intern (Bangalore, India)

As a UI/UX intern at MPOWER Financing, you will be responsible for assisting the design team in creating engaging, user-friendly interfaces for our products & services. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with designers, product managers, & developers to create innovative solutions that meet the needs of our customers.  Each intern will be responsible for leading an individual project which will be presented to the Executive team at the end of the internship & will receive mentorship from our leaders.

Were looking for interns who can think creatively & analytically, embrace ambiguity & thrive in an entrepreneurial environment & have a solution-focused mindset driven by making an impact.

THE ROLE

• Creating high fidelity visual design with smooth user experience 
• Conducting user research & usability testing to inform design decisions
• Creating wireframes, prototypes, & visual designs for web & mobile applications
• Collaborating with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately & efficiently
• Contributing to the design system & maintain brand consistency across all products & services

THE QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently pursuing a masters degree in a Design, Art, or related field
• Animation / Motion Graphics knowledge is a plus 
• Strong understanding of UI design principles & should have a portfolio that showcases your design work, & experience with design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite. 
• Self-starter who can work independently as well as part of a team.

• Strong written & verbal communication skills with the ability present complex information clearly & concisely to different stakeholders

A passion for financial inclusion & access to higher education is a must!

In addition, you should be comfortable working in a start-up environment, meaning a small agile team, fast-evolving roles & responsibilities, variable workload & tight deadlines, a high degree of autonomy, & 80-20 everything.
