What Were Looking For
The Senior Revenue Manager is a highly visible & critical leadership position within the companys accounting & reporting function. This role reports directly to the Corporate Controller & will manage a team of 4 experienced accountants. This candidate must demonstrate a strong ability to interpret & apply accounting principles in line with U.S. GAAP (specifically ASC 606), provide meaningful reviews & feedback on revenue initiatives, be heavily involved in system implementations & improvements, & have excellent project management skills.
What Youll Do
Manage a growing revenue team throughout close cycles & special strategic projects & ensure all revenue accounting & operational activities are completed on-time & in compliance with US GAAP. Review contracts & conclude on appropriate accounting treatment in accordance with ASC 606.
Collaborate cross-functionally on new product offerings & unique sales initiatives. Enhance existing (or create new) operational process workflows, using systems to drive automation & efficiencies in the revenue reporting cycle. Partner with the SOX team to identify areas of risk & help design/perform/review associated controls
Accountable for the accurate accounting & financial reporting presentation of costs to acquire or fulfill a contract in accordance with ASC 606 subtopic 340-40. Responsible for revenue related monthly close activities including final revenue results, related balance sheet account reconciliations, analytics, critical metrics, & financial reporting disclosures for revenue-related areas.
Maintain revenue accounting policies & act as an advisor on the implementation of new accounting conclusions.
Who You Are
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 8+ years of total accounting experience with increased level of responsibility, ideally a combination of public accounting firm & revenue accounting in the Technology industry.
- Expert level understanding of revenue accounting under ASC 606.
- Motivated teammate with the ability to work in a fast-paced, forward-moving environment. Excel at project management including ability to establish & consistently meet timelines.
- Ability to learn & understand financial accounting systems/software: NetSuite, Zuora & Rev Pro software experience is valued.
