About the job

This position is needed to help uncover & deliver product data, analysis, & insights that empower stakeholders at all levels to maximize the impact of data in decision making. Our team is expanding to provide meaningful, data-backed insights from which to develop & grow our industry leading communications products.

Responsibilities

In this role, youll:

  • Work with product managers to inject data into decision making & planning to increase confidence in strategic business outcomes via defining OKRs, designing & building insight generating reports & dashboards, & partnering cross functionally to source & process product data.
  • Leverage SQL programming skills & data visualization tools to communicate product insights & recommendations to stakeholders at all levels. Standardize, maintain, & document metrics, models, datasets, & dashboards leveraging tools such as Looker, Tableau, Confluence, Acryl, & code.
  • Source, identify, & leverage data & insights for time-critical & strategic decision making.
  • Own & foster stakeholder partnerships by acting as a trusted advisor. 
  • Collaborate with data producers & consumers during the product development lifecycle to ensure consistent data quality & availability for reporting post launch.

Required:

  • 4-5 years of professional experience performing quantitative analysis, building dashboards & reports, working with business partners to convert ambiguous, messy data into tangible & actionable results that influence product & business impacting decisions in a fast paced industry. 
  • Intermediate level experience writing, developing, & performing QA in SQL & SQL-like relational data languages (2+ years on a regular basis). 
  • Demonstrated ability in building reports, metrics, dashboards, etc. for analytics projects that often require data preparation processes such as data extraction, cleansing, mapping, loading & operationalising workflows in production.
  • Ability to think strategically & initiate, refine, & complete projects with minimal guidance in an often ambiguous environment.
  • Experience with modern data visualization tools. Tableau & Looker (LookML) is preferred.

Desired:

  • Experience or familiarity with data warehousing and/or ETL processes, & distributed computing technologies (Hive/Presto/Spark/Zeppelin) is a plus.
  • Experience in python (e.g. pandas, numpy, scikit-learn) or R for data manipulation & analysis, including predictive analytics, regression, hypothesis testing, & causal analysis is a plus.

Location

This role will be remote, & based in India.
